Premier Inn has announced the launch of 'Premier Weekends' with a brand new advert featuring British comedian Lenny Henry.

The creative will hero Premier Inn's 'Premier Weekends', a £12 million marketing campaign which is designed to encourage Brits to make the most of their weekends by taking a good value break with Premier Inn. The adverts will continue to reinforce Premier Inn's superior budget hotel offering and will position Premier Inn as the number one hotel of choice for leisure travellers.

The campaign will feature two different versions of the new TV adverts each showing Lenny Henry enjoying various weekend activities ranging from taking a break in the countryside, to a spot of fishing, trying his hand at golf and attending a wedding.

All communication will highlight Premier Offers, which is Premier Inn's value room offer where guests can book rooms sleeping up to a family of four for just £29 per room per night.*

Hotels.com has revealed its new 'Falling Stars' Top 10 league table which it hopes will help travellers find the best value for money hotel rooms on the planet.

The Falling Stars table reveals the cities and hotel rooms around the world which have experienced the biggest price drops over the last 12 months, and therefore represent the biggest current savings for travellers.

The results provide useful selected highlight from the Hotels.com Hotels Price Index, the world's most comprehensive tracker of real prices paid by travellers for rooms across the world. For example, the average cost of a three-star hotel room in Moscow fell by a whopping 39%, per night. Other cut-price mid-range rooms were in Cancun, where prices for 3-star rooms were down by a quarter, and the Brits' favourite, Dubai, where 3-star rooms were reduced by (18%).

For those with a little less to spend, there are large savings to be had on modest one or two-star accommodation. Boston's budget rooms dropped like a stone by more than a third (35%) over the last year. Similarly, budget rooms in Singapore (34%) and Hong Kong (31%) also became a lot more affordable leaving shoppers with more spending money in their pockets in these renowned shopping paradises.

At the luxury end of the spectrum, the usually bullet proof five star New York city hotels were down by almost a fifth (19%), while Lisbon the beautiful capital of Portugal, represents great value for money, with 5-star rooms down 20% making it a luxury destination that won't break the bank.

Virgin Holidays revealed its magical new aircraft design at Gatwick Airport this week as the company celebrates its 25th anniversary.

The plane pays homage to the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is due to open in Orlando, Florida on June 18th, with the theme park's logo emerging from a cloud of smoke emblazoned on the side.

Virgin flights from London to Orlando began in 1985 and 100,000 holidaymakers travelled to the popular holiday destination from Gatwick Airport, Manchester Airport and Glasgow Airport with the holiday company last year alone.

Over the past 25 years the company estimates that it has conducted more than 10,000 return flights to the state.

When it opens next month, visitors to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be able to visit some of the famous shops in the book, including Zonko's joke shop and Dervish and Banks in the village of Hogsmeade.

There will also be a replica of the Hogwarts castle, featuring the ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
